Why do you want to help the environment? What made you first start wanting to help the environment?

I want to help the environment because I have always felt connected to the earth and especially to trees and plants. I first starting doing environmental projects when I saw a display in a park showing how long our waste lasts in a landfill after we throw it out. I saw that plastic can last hundreds of years and styrofoam forever. This made me think about how our actions can affect the earth, and how severe of an impact humans can have. I wanted to do somethign about it, so I started doing environmental projects.
